Sand filter Astral SKYPOOL

The Astral SKYPOOL sand filters are designed in response to several requirements concerning the filtration of private pools.

Available in several diameters: 400, 500 and 600mm in coherence with the water flow to filter, for pools with a maximum volume of 60m³ integrating all the necessary accessories for your use of one of the best Astral filters.

The Skypool filter in detail

• Body of the filter constructed from invariable plastic resistant to atmospheric conditions and chemical products.
• Fitted as standard with a new generation Astral Pool selection valve, 1 1/2" 6+1-way, bayonet closure for the filter : wash, rinse, recirculation, purge, close and winterizing operations (communicating inlets and outlets).
• Transparent lid facilitates visual inspection and access to the interior of the filter (valve version on SIDE).
• Internal, upper diffuser optimises homogeneous distribution of water on the surface of the sand
• Inner piping 1.1/2" giving the best performance in continuous use.
• Manual air purge to in case of need to evacuate air inside the filter
• Automatic air purge to evacuate air in case of need to evacuate air inside the filter.
• Drain valve integrated to filter body for an easy purge with minimum sand loss.
• The lower part of the filter is equipped with a multi-arm collector assuring an even flow of water and efficient clean of the filter.
• Manometer gives the possibility to check when the filter needs to be washed.

Water is sucked from the main water outlet at the bottom surface of the pool and the pool skimmers.

It is important to regularly wash the filter using a backwash cycle as the filter's sand can become obstructed with impurities, making the circulation of water difficult.

When the pressure of the filter is superior to 1,3kg/cm², a wash cycle of the sand is necessary.

The direction of the water's circulation is inverted: Water arrives via the bottom of the level of sand, evacuating accumulated impurities.
