The water quality of public pools should be irreproachable. This is why all public pools must reply to the criteria of water quality outlined by heath and safety standards.
Two determinating elements are linked to water quality - filtration and disinfection.
AstralPool Oslo filters for public pools are high performance, vertically bobbin wound. Made from polyester reinforced with glass fiber, totally protected from corrosion, this range of filters proves to be highly resistant mechanically, chemically and thermally.
The principle feature of the Oslo sand filter is the height of the filtering bed. The higher the position of the filtering bed, the higher the filters performance. The excellent performance of the Oslo provides high-quality water.
The Oslo filter's high retaining level contributes to the low level of water turbidity, polluting agents are filtered and therefore, reduced.
Backwash is diminished proportionally to the height of the filtering bed. This results in less water being used, fewer backwash cycles, and less use of the filtrating medium.
The most efficient filtering and backwash use is obtained by an optimised combination of the filtering medium - this is ideally composed of anthracite, sand and gravel, recommended for filtering beds of 1.20m and more, reducing friction loss and increasing filtering power.
Filtration height 1.20m.
Iso neopentyl-glycol protective gel coat type CSS-UP3 is used for manufacture. Rigid and resistant to sand abrasion and salt water • Replies to the KTW recommendation and is certified LVHT • The ozone resistant option has a vinylester protective layer, type CSS-PHA5. • Laminated with non-orientated glass fiber reinforced polyester, type GF-UP1 • Reinforced in the zones where type MW piercings are present, alternated with layers of alternated fibers and non-alternated fibers. • Bobbin wound with radial layers on the cylindrical section and GF-UP1 type polar layers the length of the filter. Digitally controlled bobbin manufacturing process. • High-performance mechanical resistance to internal pressure • Outer protective layer of de polyurethane resistant to U.V. • All these of filters have been submitted to a 60ºC hardening process.

Level indicator
This allows regular inspection of the filters sand level and verifies the expansion of the sandbed during the wash cycle. This can be positioned in several areas of the filter tank.

lateral access oriphice
To incorporate the filtering recharge and facilitate access to the filter - can be positioned in several areas of the filter tank

Sieved floor
System with sieved floor with 0,5 mm grooves for air wash, lessening water consumption reducing costs and contributing to water preservation. This also contributes to the evacuation of stagnant water present in conventional models with tubed collectors
