The Heliocol solar heating system offers naturally heated pool water all year round. The panel's unique conception ensures a low maintenance, durable installation for total user comfort.
One advantage of the panels is that you can choose between an installation on ground level or on any type of rooftop, regardless of slope gradient or finish.
Orientation should be south or south-west, with a gradient of 30° to optimise efficiency.
You can connect as many panels as you require, depending on the available installation surface and water volume.
Advantages of Heliocol at a glance
By means of the dimensions of the panels tubes, pool water temperature rises by 10°C after several hours of sun exposure per day during one week.
Several sizes of panels exist so your Heliocol system can adapt perfectly to your environment and specific requirements.
Individual tube design eases installation avoiding small objects on your roof such as a chimney, aeration vents...
The main advantage of solar heat is in the tubes from which the panel is composed. Inter-dependent, avoiding the formation of mould and dirt deposits. This also allows a better evaporation of humidity present on the rooftop.
The unique conception of Heliocol panels allows maximum user comfort with minimum maintenance. The Heliocol system is designed using patented plastic, requiring no supervision.
Highly resistant to weather conditions, high winds, storms or frost.
Technical characteristics
Installation of panels
For optimal efficiency, it is important that the total surface of Heliocol panels is equal to 60% of the surface of the pool.
To better distribute friction loss, we recommend a maximum of 7 panels per range ; to install more panels, adopt a 2 range installation (or more).
1 On one range
2 On two ranges
3 On one range with shared supply
1 Installation as a series
2 Installation on parallel
Heliocol heating system components in detail
1. 50 mm x 3/4'' paddle clamp
2. Upper and lower panel clamps (to fix panel to roof surface)
3. Tube connections
4. Consecutive panel tubes
5. Moulded panel head
Manual regulation
When manual regulation is used to circulate water through the panels, they should be situated as closely as possible to the technical shelter. The panels must not be supplied during the night or during poor weather conditions (rain, snow, cold periods) as this could cool the pool water temperature. A 3-way manual valve (available on option) allows regulation or can stop supply to the panels.

4. Anti-return valve
6. Discharge to pool
7. Heliocol solar panel
Automatic regulation
Automatic regulation via an auxiliary pump optimises the efficiency of your system by circulating water through the panels only during ideal climatical conditions. This configuration is ideal when panel installation is a greater from the technical shelter.

1. Temperature regulation using 3-way motorised valve with pool filter pump:
This configuration can, in general, be adopted when panel installation is a maximum of 6m from the pool water surface. The 3-way motorised valve is situated in the filtration hydraulic circuit. The temperature regulation opens or closes depending on temperature variation. When water should be heated, water is pumped through the sensor. Heated water returns to the circuit via a T connection.
a/ Ø50mm 3-way motorised valve with integrated regulation
The SC03 valve is easily integrated (using connections available on option) to above ground pool hydraulic circuits. The desired water temperature can be adjusted in a gauge between +20°C and +40°C.
This regulation method uses:
- A sensor which measures water temperature in the pool with a 3m cable
- A sensor to measure ambient air temperature with 10m cable
Available models include the DN40/d50, electronically commanded EO510 MVO 12-230V AC/DC and specific bearing to compensate pressure, emergency adjustment. Featuring IP protection IP54, EU certification and visual indication of the unit's status.
Composed by means of a compact, command unit, which is ready to connect and conforms to DIN norms. Water temperature can be regulated manually from +20°C to +40°C.
This regulation method uses :
- A sensor which measures water temperature in the pool with a 3m cable
- A sensor to measure ambient air temperature with 10m cable
- PVC Praher 3-way valve, DN40/d50, MVO 12-230V AC/DC, emergency adjustment. Featuring IP protection IP54, EU certification and visual indication of the unit's status.

2. Separate auxiliary pump and temperature regulation integrated to hydraulic circuit :
It may be preferable or required to install a separate pump for the solar heating system. In general, if the solar panel is situated at a greater distance than 15m from the pool water surface.
Water is redirected using the T connection situated before the filter in the direction of the panel.
The operation of this pump is managed by the regulation of temperature. The filter pump and the solar pump are separately regulated. The installation of anti-return valves on the solar and filtration circuits is highly recommended.
